In both his practice and scholarship, Dr. Boom is especially experienced in in absentia removal and asylum, withholding of removal, and Convention Against Torture cases.
Dr. Boom has advocated for countless clients ordered removed in their absence with motions to reopen, BIA appeals, and circuit court PFRs. Cases he's argued have been featured in Law360 and LexisNexis's Bender's Immigration Case Reporter. Additionally, his scholarly writing on in absentia removal has appeared in the American Immigration Lawyers Association Law Journal and the New Orleans Bar Association Blog.
